What is the Mentor Match Program

The TGS Mentor Match program pairs Gates Scholars with distinguished professionals who serve as mentors.  Matches are made, based on student needs and interests. The pairs work together throughout the year to enhance academic, personal, and professional success.

What do Mentors do?

Mentors connect with Gates Scholars to provide insight and guidance that will prepare them to excel academically, enter the workforce, and have a positive impact on our nation. 

How are Mentors & Mentees paired?

Matches are made, based on student needs and interests. Data is collected during the application which is taken into consideration during the matching process.

How do I apply for a Mentor?

The system is currently under construction and our tech team is working diligently to incorporate the tools and resources that will help you build engaging, effective and meaningful mentorships. If you are a Gates Scholar, you will receive a notiification when the application is open and ready for you to apply for a Mentor. We expect to launch our Mentor Match application in the Spring of 2018.
